See Like a Spood
Jumping spiders have eight eyes, and each pair has its own job. See the world the way a spood might!

1. Choose your eyes
How you see it
This is the picture the way your eyes see it. Now switch to spood eyes and see what changes!
The big front eyes
A spood's two big front eyes see sharp details and color, but only in a small spot right in front of them, like looking through a tube. Many jumping spiders can see ultraviolet light that we can't, while reds may look dark to them.
The side eyes
The side eyes see a wide, blurry view with little color, but they are amazing at noticing movement. When something moves, the spood turns to look at it with its big front eyes. Turn on your camera and wave to try it!
2. Pick a picture
This is a fun guess based on real science. Different kinds of jumping spiders see colors a little differently.
