Frequently Asked Questions

We create 3D printed hides, climbing walls, ledges, and other accessories designed to turn jumping spider enclosures into tiny themed worlds. Our pieces are made to be both decorative and functional, giving spiders elevated resting areas, textured climbing surfaces, and new spaces to explore.

Our products are designed specifically with jumping spiders in mind. We use rounded edges, lightweight materials, open climbing routes, and elevated placement whenever possible. Every spider and enclosure is different, so owners should always inspect accessories regularly and make sure each piece is positioned securely.

Most of our standard hides are designed for adult regal jumping spiders and similar-sized species. Product listings will include measurements so you can decide whether an item is appropriate for your spider.

Smaller slings may need smaller accessories and should not be placed in an enclosure with openings or gaps they could become trapped in.

Our products are designed around common acrylic jumping spider enclosures. Please compare the measurements listed on each product page with the interior dimensions of your enclosure before ordering.

Magnets and decorations require additional clearance, so remember to measure the usable interior space rather than only the outside of the enclosure.

Enclosures, substrate, plants, lighting, and other styling accessories shown in our photos are not included unless the product listing specifically says otherwise.

Our accessories are 3D printed using PLA filament. PLA is lightweight and allows us to create detailed designs without adding unnecessary weight to the enclosure.

Because each item is 3D printed, small layer lines, seams, or slight variations may be visible. These are a normal part of the printing process and do not make the item defective.

Most core accessories include embedded or recessed magnets. A matching magnet is placed on the outside of the acrylic enclosure to hold the accessory in position.

Always make sure the magnets are fully aligned before releasing the accessory. Do not rely on the magnet until you have tested that the piece is securely attached.

Yes. Each magnetic accessory includes the exterior magnets needed for installation, unless noted otherwise.

Yes. Magnetic mounting allows you to move and rearrange the accessories without permanently attaching them to the enclosure.

Remove and reposition pieces carefully. Support the accessory with one hand while separating the outside magnet with the other so the piece does not fall.

We do our best to photograph colors accurately, but color may vary slightly depending on your screen, lighting, and the filament batch used. Translucent, glitter, marble, and multicolor filaments can vary more noticeably from one print to another.

Custom color availability depends on the product and the filament we currently have in stock. Contact us before ordering with the item and color you are considering. Custom orders may require additional production time and may not be returnable.

The fine lines you may see are called layer lines. They are created as the printer builds the item one layer at a time. Layer lines and minor surface variations are normal characteristics of 3D printed products.

Gently wipe the item with a soft cloth and lukewarm water. A small amount of mild, unscented soap may be used when needed. Rinse thoroughly and allow the piece to dry completely before returning it to the enclosure.

Do not use harsh chemicals, bleach, alcohol, essential oils, scented cleaners, or abrasive scrubbers.

PLA can soften or warp when exposed to high temperatures. Keep accessories away from heat lamps, heating elements, dishwashers, boiling water, and direct sunlight for extended periods.

Yes. Check accessories and magnets regularly for cracks, loose parts, sharp areas, or damage. Remove any item that becomes damaged or can no longer be mounted securely.

Many of our items are printed after an order is placed, while others may be ready to ship. Current production estimates will be shown on the product page or during checkout.

Orders require processing time before they are handed to the carrier. Your estimated delivery window includes both production and shipping time. During launches, holidays, or high-volume periods, processing may take longer.

Most orders ship within 3 to 5 business days.

Yes. Tracking information will be emailed to the address used at checkout once your shipping label has been created. It may take a short time for the carrier to scan and update the package.

Contact us as soon as possible and include clear photos of the damaged item, the shipping box, and the packaging. Please keep all packaging until we have reviewed the issue.

Contact us as quickly as possible. We may be able to make changes if production has not started. Once an item has entered production or a shipping label has been created, changes may not be possible.

Because our products are designed for use inside animal enclosures, we do not accept returns or exchanges. This helps us prevent possible cross-contamination and ensures that every customer receives a newly printed, unused product.

Please review all product measurements, colors, and enclosure requirements carefully before ordering.

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us within 3 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the item and packaging. We’ll review the issue and provide a replacement or refund when appropriate. You will not be asked to return a damaged product unless we specifically request it.

Spood Society is run by sisters Kristen and Kelly. We combine our love of jumping spiders, design, photography, and tiny detailed worlds to create enclosure accessories that are fun to use, style, and collect.
